School Start Time Survey

Orange County Public Schools invites all families, employees and community members to participate in the School Start Times Survey to help the district decide whether to change school start times for high schools and elementary schools. Your participation is important because it ensures all our families’ voices are heard in this process.

Florida Statute mandates that school districts set middle and high school start times later in the morning, unless the district can provide a report including how their students, employees, families and community members feel about the change.

Research stresses the importance of middle and high school students getting enough sleep, and moving high school start times to later in the morning may help. Under the proposed change, elementary schools would start earlier than middle schools and high schools.

Any student wanting to tryout for a sport must have an OCPS Sports Physical Packet on file with the school which is NOW digital. OCPS Sports Physical Packets need to be filled out online using the following instructions. All OCPS Sports Physical Packets must be complete with doctor's signature and returned to school.  Please return all OCPS Sports Physical Packets to Coach Van Am.

Below you can find the required OCPS Physical Forms for the current school year.

To fill in the form, follow these steps:

  1. Open form linked below
  2. Save a ‘copy’ to your desktop
  3. Fill in the form
  4. Save the filled-in form back to your desktop (If you need to complete multiple forms for multiple children, save each completed form with a new file name, perhaps by adding the name of the child to the file name)
  5. Print the form if a signature is required, sign it, and deliver the form back to Coach Van Am.
